Singer is now owned by SVP Worldwide, which also owns the Husqvarna Viking and the Pfaff brands. SVP stands for Singer-Viking-Pfaff. Older singer machines have a reputation for excellent build and quality. In fact vintage machines are still very much sought after these days.

高端的有3个品牌,德国百福,瑞典唯金,瑞士贝尔尼娜,3个高端品牌有的也有低端机,但是缝纫机这东西价格一旦低了,同品牌自然是一分钱一分货,如果是想买个1000多的机器就根本没有必要买这3个牌子的,因为重机hzl-hp80内置接近200种线迹也才1800多呢（这个机器我个人认为简直算是性价比最高的家伙了吧）。3个品牌我个人比较喜欢后者瑞士的贝尔尼娜缝纫机，即使是普通款缝出来的扣眼线迹也比同是瑞士品牌的elna普通款的要饱满，我就是看到扣眼线迹才明白缝纫机和缝纫机之间是不同的。 而前面2个现在是同一家公司即svp集团下面的2个品牌了，v就是围巾，p是百福，那个s自然就是胜家。

中端品牌有5个常见的，胜家，兄弟，重机，真善美，艾奈（elna，瑞士中端品牌），中端品牌性价比高，追求性价比的话从这5个品牌里面选一个。 兄弟大概国内销量最大，不过我个人认为重机大概要比同是日本品牌的兄弟做东西要用心一些。 胜家大概是国外销量最大的。如果买家用缝纫机就从这5个里面选一个自己喜欢的就可以了。

history

PFAFF was founded in Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1862 by instrument maker Georg Michael Pfaff (1823–1893). Pfaff's first machine was handmade, and designed to sew leather in the manufacture of shoes.

In 1885, Georg Michael Pfaff opened a sewing machine shop in London. The PFAFF factory was expanded and modernized. Georg Pfaff, the second son of the founder, took over the management of the company after his father's death in 1893 and expanded it further with great success.[3]

In 2006 the American equity firm Kohlberg & Company, owner of Singer, acquired Swedish VSM Group, owner of Husqvarna Viking and PFAFF, thereby creating SVP Worldwide.[4]

In March 2013 the German holding company of SGSB Group Co. Ltd., ShangGong (Europe) Holding Corp. GmbH, took over 100% of the shares of PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen AG.[1]

Pfaff won the 2006 IMB INNOVATION AWARD 2006 for the Programmed Welding solution with 100% parameter control. In 2007, the expert jury of the interzum award 2007 awarded a newly developed PFAFF pole sewing machine with the award BEST OF THE BEST in the field of upholstery furniture manufacturing and bedding. In the same year, the Initiative Mittelstand PFAFF was awarded the Industry Innovation Prize for the ultrasonic welding machine PFAFF 8310 Cut & Seal. Also, Pfaff sewing machines have frequently been given away as prizes on "The Price is Right," through the 80's and early 90's.
