请问在法兰克福签美国签证

-- I was in USA last September for about two weeks. I have taken part in a conference and then have had business meeting in California. There will be similiar events this year.


How about I give him/her my whole story when he/she asks me the first related question? It may be better than answering all his/her questions step by step and will save me and he/she much time and effort. :) good idea?

I'm afraid that he/she will only give me one entry since it seems that I only need to visit USA once a year......Doesn't matter, I don't really need multiply entries in fact.

Since the conference lasts for 1 week, they may ask you what are you going to do in another week.  So prepare for answering this.

Do not give too long answer for each question, otherwise, the visa officer may lose patient.  It depends on the order of questions he ask.  Usually he will first ask you what's your purpose to go to USA, how long you will stay in USA, then ask if you have been in USA before.

It's possible that you cannot get multiple entries.  It depends on the visa officer.  Your English is not bad.  Just be confident and you will be fine.  :P

Thanks for your encouragement. I'd like to sightseeing in USA after the conference. Last year I have visted Washington D.C. and I'm planning to visit either New York or Los Angeles this year.

Flyingpig, are you in USA now or have you been in USA frequently? I'm wondering why you are so familiar with US visa processes. You don't need to answer this question if you don't like it. I'm not gonna to be aggressive or make you feeling disturbed.

Visa process is routine.  If you have applied for visa and prepared for the questions and answers once, then you will be familiar with the visa process.  I have also asked similar questions before.  The above answers are based on what I heard from other people and what I have experienced.  Do not need much experience to answer the questions.:)

I see.

Today, I have tried to remit the visa-fee and found out that there is a new process for this since August 1st. Instead of transfering the amount directly to the bank account of US embassy, I need tranfer 85 Euro to a new company assigned by US embassy. I'm not sure if the amount is the same as last year......They say that after the company received the money, they will send me a signatured email to confirm the acceptance. This procedure may last four working days.

Advice to those who are going to apply a US-visa: please leave 3 weeks to make an appointment and remit the amount at least one week before the appointment.

i am going to apply the visa for a conference and after that i plan to visit my husband who is working  in miami. should i tell them both purposes? now i am a student in germany.

i am afraid they will suspect i have the intendency to immigrate , because of my husband working there...wuwuwu

I do not know which way is better.  If you tell them that your husband is in USA, they may suspect that you will not go back Germany.  If you do not tell them and they ask where is your husband, I do not know if there will be any problem.  Some friends of mine faced the similar situation before.  When they got offers from universities in USA, their spouses have already been in USA.  Seems that they have no problem to get the F1 visas.  However, I did not ask if they told the visa officer that their spouses were in USA.

这个隐瞒不了的啊，填表的时候有这个选项的：你有没有什么亲人在美国？连叔叔阿姨这些的都要画勾是有还是没有，更不要说是你先生了。

不是我想吓唬你啊，你能够提供足够的证据说明你仍然会回德国的吗？如果不能的话，嫌疑就非常大啊。

你当然还有另一个可能性就是申请家庭团聚。如果他是F1的话，你就申请F2，如果他是H1的话，好像你应该申请H4。不过好像F2也是非移民签证，和你开会申请的B1/B2签证不冲突。而H4是有移民可能性的签证，和你开会申请的B1/B2就有冲突了。

其实我都觉得奇怪，看你的情况，还不如干脆去美国读书算了，为什么还要在德国读书呢？

很简单，直接申请H4过去，然后想回来就回来，下次去还申请这个过去。

楼上的说的对，看winefine MM的情况，申请B1/B2很大可能会被据的啦。

另一方面，如果先生是H1的话，winefish申请H4其实是一个不错的主意。成功率还是挺高的。
