我借贵宝地，问JJGG们一下，
我马上就要Dip.毕业了，想去美国读博。不知道象我这种情况，还要考GRE吗？
我应该做好哪些准备啊？
不要笑我啊，我听说这个论坛，今天花了好多时间才注册上，麻烦JJ了。

so far as i know,跟从中国走程序是一样的。
过去了还是得从硕士的课开始上，虽然可能会免些课。

Yes, you need take courses as master students, but may take less.   As far as I know, in some departments, you need spend at least 1 year taking courses.  Many universities do not waive any course if you have already got a master degree from schools out of USA.  If you are studing engineering, the average graduation year of many top schools is around 6 years.  In some so so schools e.g., below 50, you may still need at least 4 years.  Of course, if you are very smart, you may be able to graduate in 5 years in top schools.

BTW, you need GRE unless you only apply for MIT and top 10 universities, some of which need only toefl.
