I guess,
1. pudding is the dessert after the main course/meal. Meat(such as steak)  is the main course/meal.
7 F: v/ }8 L$ [- F5 E/ D0 d: ~8 ySo, if you don't eat your main meal(chunky, difficult to digest)  first,  the waiter/waitress won't serve you the dessert.
the lyrics MIGHT mean that if you(as students don't study hard), you won't get anything sweet from the life.

2. The lyrics is typical black English: double negative = negative (NOT positive). eg.. we don't need no education = we don't need education.
